DCMS Ep 668: The Harrison Ford Top Ten

In honor of Captain America: Brave New World, your beloved Deucecast hosts make it all about one of Hollywood -- and our podcast's -- legendary figures: Harrison Ford.  Thus, it's time for the Harrison Ford Top Ten.

First up, a quick review of Captain America Brave New World - likes, dislikes, and a tease for next week's ReFlicktions.

And in a fun game, it's a round of Rotten Tomatoes with all February movies - random years, random weekends, random movie titles... and maybe the first time Charlie Chan films are mentioned.

Finally, a complete listing of Harrison Ford's entire filmography, as d$, Mikey, and #XLessDrEarl go movie by movie, title by title... sometimes blowing past them ("Journey to Shiloh"? "Zabriskie Point"??), sometimes spending a few minutes ("Star Wars"! "Blade Runner"!) and sometimes having full on discussions ("Working Girl"!)

And at the end, the official Deucecast Harrison Ford Top Ten.

Also... does anyone know where to find "Killroy Was Here" on streaming?

Episode 667: The Oscar Snub Tourney

In a world full of Oscar winners, there is also a large population of worthy performers who never had their own Academy Award moments.  Whether being nominated one time, or seven times, or no times, nary a winning ballot with their name on it.

Mikey, d$, and #XLessDrEarl invite in Miss Independent himself, Jeremy Burgeydoodle, to discuss twenty four dudes and twenty three dames, all with bodies of excellent work. Actors from Ed Harris in "The Right Stuff" to Michael B Jordan's "Fruitvale Station" to d$'s girlfriend Amy Adams in "American Hustle" to Margot Robbie in... well, something good.

Idris! Harrison! ScarJo! Mia! And so many more great thespians, all with one question - "Why don't they have an Oscar yet?", and tonight, we find out who truly defines that question.

Plus, the 8th Annual Burgentine's Day commences, as Jeremy discusses his assigned films - "About Time", "Some Kind of Wonderful", "Notting Hill", "She's the One", and "A Single Man"... who wins and who falls to the bottom this year?

Episode: The Deucecast Afterlife

Inching ever closer to the monumental episode #700, Mikey, d$, and #XLessDrEarl are here to discuss not just life in the movies... but AFTERLIFE in the movies.  The coolest, scariest, most unique, or best (subjective) portrayals of the Heavenly Realm... or the Hot Basement... and maybe even some purgatory in between.

First, the Angelic Trio checks out the box office in 2024, with a round of Box Office Mojo - figuring out what films made the most money... domestically of course (because we aren't communists), and in the calendar year.

Then, a list of films featuring the Big Guy Upstairs, Ol' No Shoulders down below, a few angels, a few demons and more.  From Bill and Ted to Swayze to Albert Brooks to some Pixar Dr. Earl has never seen, it's a fun list. A blessed list, we hope. Thoughts and prayers.

Has to be blessed with Malick, right?  Right?

Finally, a quick look at the new film "Companion", and both d$ and Mikey's recommendations.
