Episode LII: The Podcast of the Traveling Pants

The boys are back, the boys are back in town... the boys are back in tow-ow-own... okay, well, the boys never left, but the important thing is, the boys showed up tonight to record The Deucecast Episode LII:  The Podcast of the Traveling Pants, with a visit from Hurricane Rhett, and a long awaited return from Producer Shawn!

Kicking things off right, we dive right into garage sales and Mikey's destruction of a family vacation by swindling a little kid to buy a jacked up VHS copy of Tron... Rhett begins his rants early with riffs on supermarket and fast food woes, mostly pretaining to those in lines who cannot seem to find the time to get their money ready... Demi Lovato is in the news again... Greys Anatomy Watch makes another appearance... Mikey brings up strong TV news... the problems with Glee and the love of Queen... Rhett's own love for "Brokeback Mountain"... d$ shares some Dreamworks Studios insight to the "Saving Private Ryan" vs "Shakespeare in Love" debacle at the Oscars... and d$ makes a teaser announcement on his own life...

Mike's Musical Crap continues with his highlight of the upcoming Schaeffer Crawfish Boil with another band no one has heard of, nor will know even after the festival is over...

Name That Crap brings forth the artistry and majesty of Joshua Kadison... Jon B... Hi-Five, who likes the way you kiss when you're playing the kissing game... and even more.  Oh, and Greg Evigan.

Our Big Three centers around TV Moms... love is given all around to the likes of Maggie Seaver... Suzanne Somers... Patricia Heaton... Jill Taylor from Home Improvement... and even Lois Griffin!

And, with Hurricane Rhett in the house, you know not every thing will be completely PC.  Or PG.  But its always FYI.  OK?

The Good Doc Earl joins us next week as we do a huge Big Three... our favorite 80s movies.  Says Mikey in an earlier text:  I've got 70 movies on my list.  I now have to whittle it down to a more comfortable, I dunno, 28 or so.  That's next week on The Deucecast Episode LIII:  Podcast Encounters of the Deuce Kind...

Tonight, in this historic event, a happening that happens only once in the life of a podcast, an event that is so eventful, the happening events are happening in the eventful happenstance.

Mikey and d$ welcome in TWO, count 'em TWO, co-hosts this week, as Drew and Dr. Earlgood join the show as the 50th episode of The Deucecast commences.

Right outta the gate, Mikey shares his battle with Montezuma and the revenge that came with it... the dangers of WebMD... watching The Masters live... some Alison Krauss thoughts... our Easter weekend in review...

Mikey demands you go and buy some Alabama Shakes music right now (click the link below to head over to Amazon, give them ten bucks, give us a nickel and help pay for our studio renovations!), then gives us some Jane's Addiction for his continuing festival series... d$ unburies a wretched Chucky Norris film, then reburies it where it will hopefully stay... and Dr. Earl gives his weird obsession with the new Three Stooges movie (sure to be a treasure that will also need to be buried in the future)

The Big Three looks ahead to summertime, where all four guys give their most anticipated upcoming films of the summer season.  Batman, The Avengers and Ridley Scott get lots of love, as do The Expendables, and even Abe Lincoln, the Vampire Hunter.  Oh, and who wants to see "What To Expect When You Are Expecting"?  Find out.
