Happy New Year! Hope your Christmas was wonderful, and what better way to end your holiday season than to check our review show, also called "ReFlicktions", as we ReFlickt on the films we've watched in the last few weeks.
It's December, so our movie watching slowed down considerably, but we spend a little more time both on older favorites and current blockbusters... in this episode, we cover...
Wet Hot American Summer... two of us love this movie, one of us just doesn't get it...
Happy Christmas... we call out Anna Kendrick again to come on our show
Varsity Blues... Pinky is introduced to the James Van der Beek classic, and whipped cream.
The Theory of Everything... stick around for my incredibly authentic Steven Hawking impersonation and for Mikey's surprise at what he himself thinks about the movie.
Horrible Bosses 2... we see it so you don't have to.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay: Part 2: Live Die Repeat: Mockingjay"... it's the one film that I was able to watch, and I'll tell you how good it is.
Exodus: Gods & Kings"... Mikey uses three phrases for this film--"Ridiculous", "Excessodus" and "Random Casting", and then Pinky shares his love for the movie.
The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies: Live Die Repeat... In a reversal of roles, Pinky expresses his displeasure for this epic, while Mikey actually is decently satisfied. Oh, and somehow, we relate Evangeline Lilly to Alec Baldwin. Somehow.
Wild... Mikey tells us of Reese Witherspoon's epic turn that might make her an two time Oscar winner.
Then, all three of us give our favorite films (so far) of 2014, plus our movie assignments which include the classic Dark Crystal, the immortal Vince Vaughn/Travolta epic Domestic Disturbance and the indie film In Your Eyes.
And next week, its the winter movie preview! Join us as we let you know what's upcoming this January, February and March... pay attention and you'll know what movies you'll want to see, and what to avoid! -- d$

Episode 151 -- Merry Deuce Christmas!!!
It's Christmas time, Christmas time is here! Unfortunately, no time for a Christmas vacation... however, you can sit back for a spell and listen to your favorite movie dudes discuss their (and your) favorite Christmas films!
First, we let you know what movies are celebrating their milestone birthdays this month... you won't believe how old "Dumb & Dumber" and "Beverly Hills Cop" are. And find out what legendary film franchise got it's first film released this month in 1979.
We explore "Home Alone" and it's legacy, then toss around the Rotten Tomatoes in a Christmas edition.
Mikey, Pinky & Dave then count down their favorite Christmas films of all time, including classics like "The Muppet Christmas Carol"... "It's a Wonderful Life"... "Scrooged"... and "White Christmas". Dave and Pinky give major love to "A Christmas Story", while Mikey gives major hate to it--he's a known Ralphie Hater, by the way.
Plus, proper attention is shown to the underrated "Four Christmases", Mikey gushes about "Ernest Saves Christmas" and Pinky goes crazy for "Jingle All the Way"... and of course, Dave still loves the ABC TV movie "The Night They Saved Christmas".
And find out what they chose back in 2011, during the first list of Christmas favorites as revealed in "The Deucecast Episode XXXVII: A Very Wookiee Christmas."
The payoff on the horrid Christmas movies that were assigned a few episodes ago is in this episode. Hear the reviews on such holiday masterpieces as "Elf Bowling the Movie: The Great North Pole Elf Strike"... "Bratz Babies Save Christmas"... "The Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger"... and the coup de gras, "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians". Whew.
Finally, everyone's favorite movie show segment, Pretty in Pink. Will the Alec Baldwin/Kevin Spacey/Al Pacino David Mamet directed epic "Glengarry Glen Ross" get top honors? Or be in the "hated it" column"? Find out tonight.
Then, a great discussion on the Sony hack and the fervor over "The Interview" cancellation is broken up by... well, as Pinky will put it, some very sensitive mics and some wind. It's a first for The Deucecast Movie Show and proof that life happens anytime and anywhere.
Next week! Our ReFlicktions Show for December is a bit shorter, but still we spend much time on "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies"... "The Theory of Everything"... "Exodus Gods & Kings" and several more recent flicks. And coming up soon, our Winter Movie Preview, and our Top Ten Not-2014 Films of 2014!

Episode 150 -- Intermission: White Christmas
If you are dreaming of a Deucecast Christmas, with visions of Elf Mikey and Reindeer Dave and Sugarplum Pinky (Sugarpinky?) dancing through your heads, this is totally the Intermission for you!
The guys take on the 50s classic White Christmas, as Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye survive the war, go on tour with their dancing routine, meet up with Vera Ellen and Rosemary Clooney, and follow them to the Christmas paradise of Vermont. Entertainers all, it's time to do a benefit to raise money, fall in love, sing some memorable tunes and dance some memorable dances.
Answers to the burning questions that have been weighing on your hearts... is this a sequel to "Holiday Inn"? Who is that guy in the Bugs Bunny cartoons? And who liked it more (and less) than they thought they would? Plus, we give a rundown of the main cast, who they are and what became of them...
And in a twist, the discussion takes a dive into the state of "musicals" in Hollywood, and why we fear the medium might be dying a slow death... sad trombone sound here.
It's a movie that really only has Christmas scenes in select parts of the movies, but is considered a Christmas classic to be cherished forever.
(Next week, on The Deucecast Movie Show Episode 151... The Deucecast Christmas Party, starring Mikey and Dave, with Pinky reporting in from a remote location in the woods somewhere! Our favorite Christmas films (including... Jaclyn Smith?!), the report on the terrible holiday films we were forced to watch and more fun and frivolity!)

Episode 149 -- Intermission: Jaws
Just when you thought it was safe to go back to the podcast... ba-dum... ba-dum... ba-dum... ba-dum ba-dum ba-dum badumbadumbadumbadum.... you'll recognize the music and recognize the terror of the ocean as The Deucecast Movie Show takes on the classic film "Jaws" from 1975.
The guys discuss the making of the film indepth, including how Richard Dreyfuss begged for the part of Hooper... the consideration of Jeff Bridges and others for the part... the monetary success of the movie itself... what the author of the book it was based on had to say about sharks today... the connection to the 2010 movie "Piranha 3D"... Pinky waxing poetic by saying "What scares you the most is what you cannot see"... Mikey using the word "titular"... and so much more trivia, fun and frivolity.
Plus, a quick reference to Jaws 2, Jaws 3D and Jaws: The Revenge--which one does Dave consider to be in his Bottom 10 Movies of All Time.
The are joined in the studio by friend of the show Drew and Brother of the Predator Sean Hall, and their take on Jaws. And Superman III, for some reason.
Join us next week for The Deucecast Movie Show Episode 150, a special Christmas intermission when we take on the classic "White Christmas"!
