The summer is here! The Deucecast Movie Show is here to give you all the movies you need to know about coming in the next three months -- Dave and Mikey and Dr Earl go weekend by weekend, giving you the ones to mark onto your calendar...
First up, a summer blockbuster round of Rotten Tomatoes, with films like Wild Wild West and the '89 Batman and Inception and of course Jaws -- plus a new rule instituted during the playing of the game!
Among topics discussed, the guys answer the question "Where is Jeremy Burgess??"... discuss the difference in Pullman and Paxton, and the tragedy of Paxton's last film... reboots of dude films into chick films... a rare Bollywood-esque preview... Pooh animated (or not?)... love for Peter Berg... Nic Cage, finally as Superman... and what everyone is excited for...
And who could guess that Dave loves ABBA so much? (pretty much anyone, really)
Movies previewed include: Adrift... Action Point... Hereditary... Hotel Artemis... Ocean's 8... Incredibles 2... Superfly... Tag... Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom... The Hustle... Sanju... Sicario: Day of the Soldado... Uncle Drew... The First Purge... Ant-Man & the Wasp... Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation... Skyscraper... The Equalizer 2... Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again... The episode kicks off with Birthday Movies, including celebrating release days by such amazing cinematic appearances like Sliver, Black Dog and The Lizzie McGuire Movie
Then, a quick review of movies watched in the last few weeks, including Chappaquiddick, Thief, Wind River, Breakin 2: Electric Boogaloo, The Perfect Score... The Week Of... The Runner... Episode 327: Sci Fi Fantasy Films of This Century
It's a couple of guys who keep their heads in the clouds and gaze at the stars, so it's only fitting that Dave and Mikey discuss Fantasy and Science Fiction films. But since #Twitterless Dr Earl can't be found (he's doing a lint removal procedure from the naval of poor kids in Long Island), who better to invite onto the show than the TechnoRetro Dads themselves, Shazbazzar and Jedi Shuuuuuuuuaaaaahhhhhh....
And the gang jumps right in, counting off their lists of what they consider to be their favorite fantasy/sci-fi films of this century... that's really anything released on January 1st, 2000, until... well, you know, today. Or the day of the recording, anyway.
The TRD's also give their take on "Ready Player One" before diving into the Top Ten, then the guys discuss at length -- and at depth -- the legacy and their adoration of films like "Children of Men" and the newest "Star Trek" and newer "Star Wars" films and Shaz defends "John Carter" while Dave defends "Lady in the Water".
Its a great two hours of sci fi fantasy fun and movie love!

Episode 326: Weddings in Movies
Another edition of The Deucecast Movie Show walks down the podcasting aisle, with Mikey and Dave inviting in The Long Intro-less, Twitterless Dr Earl. Because Producer Shawn finally got hitched recently, the crew thought it would be fun to talk weddings in movies, both full films and scenes too.
What better way to do that than to invite in the Delightful Jennifer Kaufman, courtesy of the Binder & Binder hotline.
And what better way to talk about wedding movies than to talk about... Kaufman's former podcast The Delightful Life, local soccer teams, soccer rules, hockey rules and more, including a quick debate on the pros & cons of the hockey shootout.
A new game premieres this episode, a game called "Bridget, Michelle or Kate"... who was in the movies called out?
Moving onto weddings, Dave, Kaufman and Mikey share their quick wedding stories (while Twitterless Dr Earl takes a nap), then onto the Top Five Movie Weddings. From The Muppets Take Manhattan to Bridesmaids to Spaceballs to My Best Friends Wedding and more, the DCMS celebrates movie nuptials and more.

And Kaufman hates The Princess Bride. Still.

Episode 325: The Tom Cruise Sweet 16 (aka Shirtless Volleyball with Ryfuns)
The Deucecast Movie Show jumps back into the bracket format again, this time with Tom Cruise movies! Mikey and Dave invite in Twitterless Dr Earl, and get Waycross Bainswick Georgia's own Scott Ryfun. And the bonus Ryfun, Garrison, also joins in.
The guys match up Tom Cruise roles one by one, until there is only one remaining, with lots of discussions on Mission Impossible movies without the numbers... the Mimi Rogers years... Garrison saying "I haven't seen that" an awful lot... The Ron Kovic dilemma... and lots and lots of shirtless, sweaty volleyball.
And an Emilio Estevez sighting!
